Model Crush: Charlotte Free

She's the model made famous by Tumblr, known for her cotton candy pink hair and punk grunge off duty style - Charlotte Free is the model of today. She was discovered in a shopping mall, stands at 5'7" tall and has walked for everyone from Rodarte, Charlotte Ronson to Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton. 
I love everything about this girl - her style both on duty and off duty, her hair and she's just so cute and adorable! I've seen her images floating around Tumblr for some time now and have even been reblogging them but have only just put two and two together - this girl is FAMOUS GIRL. Yay for unicorn haired girls making it big in the world! 
Now many of you might have been wondering why I've been a bit distant on the blog front, I've been waiting on some of my online shopping haul and hopefully will be shooting some outfit posts this weekend (fingers crossed for sunshine). LITTLE BLACK BOOK GOLDEN GLOBE 2012 FASHION TOP 5

1. Rooney Mara breakout star from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo wore a Nina Ricci dress from the Pre Fall collection and was by far my favourite look from the Golden Globes! Keeping in sync with her in character style as well as seemingly her own, Rooney has mastered the modern goth look. Though this red carpet look is without a doubt elegant and breathtaking!




2. Mila Kunis looking ever so elegant in Dior (who she is now the new face of!) gets our star of approval with a beautiful dress like that you don't need to over accessorize and Kunis really hit the mark! With a cinched in waist, elegant diamond drop earrings and a ring, Kunis shines.



3. Kate Winslet shows how a Hollywood starlet dresses for a red carpet event wearing Jenny Packham gown, Roger Vivier shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels looking very Old Hollywood and ever so glamorous.

4. Emma Stone looked amazing in a floor length tulle gown by fashion house Lanvin. Perfectly cinched in at the waist with a embellished belt - I love everything about this look. Very elegant, very ancient roman/greek style sihoulettes and the cap sleeve adds a bit of structure as well as modernity to the whole look.

 

5. Shailene Woodley hits the red carpet in a beautiful strapless Marchesca floor length gown perfectly highlighting her sihoulette and figure. I do think Shailene should have add some accessories to finish the look - maybe some nice long earrings or a chunky bracelet (or even a embellished clutch!)

Lady Gaga's party in the pARQ

If you've been following me on twitter you would have read my estatic tweets about seeing Lady Gaga's impromptu gig show.

Yesterday  around 1pm Lady Gaga sryptically tweeted "Thinking of going out in Sydney tonight. How I wish we had a show. NEVERMIND, don't listen to me. Maybe i'll just go for a walk in the pARQ" prompting #pARQ as a trending topic with many people asking, 'Where is this pARQ?".
If you're a Sydneysider then you would have immediately picked up on two important key words in that tweet: NEVERMIND and perhaps slightly more cryptic pARQ which are both nightclub venues in Sydney. And the scramble was on for all the Sydney little monsters to claim a spot in the line at both clubs, by 5pm there was already a dramatic line winding down Oxford Street.

Hanging with my friend Mollie of AllAboutEdie, possibly the only two straight girls in the crowd of gays and gals at ARQ was an experience. Having waited 5 hours straight including waiting in the line and waiting at the front of the stage inside ARQ, the woman we've all been waiting for arrived around 1:30am wearing a rocker chic leather vest with incredible gold studding detailing on the back (shame I couldnt get a clear image on my camera), a beautiful Chanel gold choker necklace, a cap, gold embellished black leather bustier bra and matching briefs, John Lennon style sunglasses and a black veil.

Being crushed from all sides when Gaga was performing was no doubt worth it as being second from the front gave me a great view and I could literally reach out and touch Lady Gaga if I wished to. She performed Judas, Born This Way and Edge of Glory and it was fricken amazing!

I'm so glad I managed to see her, even if I can't attend her Sydney Monsterhall show on Wednesday... enjoy the photos from the performance.

Lady Gaga goes VOGUE

One of my favourite editorials featuring Lady Gaga (another favourite was her feature in V Magazine with Marc Jacobs last year, the NY Issue). Here Gaga graces the cover of VOGUE US and looks stunning in an array of designer pieces including Givenchy and Alexander McQueen.
I think she looks stunning and I particularly love the beautiful Givenchy feathery couture dress as well as her the cover image where she looks so chic and beautiful.

Mother Monster love †

So many of you would know how much I love Gaga. Here's an amazing photo I found of her earlier in the month when she was in London. She's wearing a beautiful, pink hair (I'm think its human hair?) dress teamed with a leather jacket, insane stripper heels topped off with a chanel classic handbag. This is one of my favourite looks so far. The hair dress looks so amazing, the texture, the colour - very glamourous Gaga!

She's a tramp, she's a vamp but she still kills the dance...

Model Crush: Rachel Rutt

Yesterday during Vogue's Fashion Night Out Sydney (post coming soon!) I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favourite Australian models of all time, the gorgeous and gracious Rachel Rutt. I had a little chat with her and she's so down to earth and humble, it just makes me love her even more! The photo that I got with her way pretty bad quality so sorry about that, but yay I met and spoke with Rachel! Haha pretty awesome! For those of you who don't know, Rachel is half Singaporean and half Australian. Ain't she a beauty? Ms Rutt has been seen walking in countless RAFW shows earlier in the year and also a few weeks ago at RSFF. Basically, she's hot stuff and everyone around the globe knows it. I would love to see more of her on the cover of some Aussie Magazines, but the reality of the situation is that because she's so in demand right now, no Aussie mags can get ahold of her in time either that or they aren't noticing this hot gem!

Anyway, you can swoon over her as I did yesterday and everytime I see her at runway shows/in print xx

Yes Rachel is really tall (but probably not for a model haha and what a terrible photo of me, please excuse the crappiness and lets just focus on Rachel's beauty) measuring 178cm - a good 10-12cm taller than me! (Yes sadly I'm short..... boo)

Also I put on some Chanel temporary tattoos especially for Vogue's Fashion Night Out and I love it so much I was telling Amanda of Not so Naked that I would seriously get these permanently tattooed. They're so fantastic!! And you wouldn't ever need to buy any more bracelets! HA

Style Icon: Miroslava Mikheeva Duma

I cannot believe this girl is only 25!! She has immense personal style that shifts effortlessly from laid back street style that is perfect for everyday (teaming basic tees, jackets, shorts with Chanel) to an outfit worthy during fashion week. I'm talking about Miroslava Mikheeva Duma, who is the fashion editor of Russia's Harper's Bazaar. Nonetheless Miroslava is amazing. How I wish I could emulate at the very least a fraction of her incredible sense of style. She is such an inspiration! She has been one of my style icons for some time now and it really is a shame that I've only just posted about Ms Duma. If you already knew about her years ago, you can still admire her style. Style Icon: Charlotte Kemp Muhl

After regrettably only recently discovering Charlotte Kemp Muhl as what I would consider a great style icon of our generation (she is only 22 years old, if my sources are correct) what I am loving about Charlotte's dress sense is her I don't give a fuck attitude where she will wear what ever she wants, whenever she wants; be it a animal headdress, a head shawl, sheer dresses or pale blue lipstick.What I'm also loving is how Sean Lennon (Charlotte's boyfriend) and Ms Muhl pull off their quirky and eclectic outfits which in a way somehow remind me of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.... am I the only one getting this?
Nonetheless you can admire her in the same way that I am and drooling, stare, examine these images and her unique (and beautiful) dress sense :)
