That moment when you randomly scroll through your Facebook feed and stumble upon something amazing. In fact that's exactly how I discovered Backstage Dresser a Melbourne based Australian label debuting its first collection - Queen of Coney Island.
I been listening to Lana Del Rey nonstop for the last couple of months so when I immediately understood the reference for the collection, I was already drawn in. The collection for me conjures up images of a fantastic round of high tea with my girlfriends sipping on delicious teas and nibbling an assortment of red velvet cupcakes, cucumber sandwiches and scones.
This label definitely is something I would wear (day or night) - while its true I probably wouldn't feel like myself wearing head to toe colour as in some of the looks in the lookbook, I particularly have fallen hard for the Tueur d'Efants dress, Clam on my Breasts top, Money Honey top and Rainbow Fish top (all unicorn approved pieces). And how amazing is the model's unicorn hair?
I can't tell you how excited I am for this label to launch, for their website and e-store to go live and to get my paws on some Backstage Dresser. How amazing is the lookbook!
